Liam Payne Died With No Will, Entire $32.2 Million Estate Will Go To Son

In a shocking twist, following the tragic death of Liam Payne last October, it has emerged that the 31-year-old, died without a will — and the former One Directioner’s $32.2 million fortune is now in the hands of his ex-girlfriend Cheryl Tweedy, mom to his 8-year-old son, Bear. (Kate Cassidy, Liam’s girlfriend since 2022 appears to have been shut out.)

Cheryl, 41, who met the singer when he appeared on The X Factor, will share oversight of the estate with a music industry lawyer, but neither will be allowed to distribute the money.

According to reports, the fortune will likely remain in a trust until Bear is an adult. “It is a small consolation that Bear will never want for anything,” a friend told one news outlet. “That he will at least benefit from that.”

Meanwhile, the case against an employee of the Buenos Aires hotel where Liam fell to his death, as well as a local waiter, is still open. The two have been accused of supplying the singer with narcotics in the days leading up to his death and face four to 15 years in prison.
