A$AP Rocky Drops Clue About Name of Baby No. 3 With Rihanna

A$AP Rocky (real name Rakim Athelaston Mayers) and Rihanna are keeping up a family tradition when it comes to naming their next child.

After the “Umbrella” singer, 37, debuted her pregnancy at the Met Gala earlier this week, Rocky, 36, appeared on the Late Night With Seth Meyers show on Wednesday, May 7, and revealed that their baby’s name would begin with the letter R — just like their other children, RZA, 2, and Riot, 1.

Host Seth Meyers asked the rapper, “Is this a lock that the third [kid] will have an “R” name?” Rocky responded, “For sure, yes.”

Also joining the Grammy-nominated artist in his late-night appearance was Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour. She shared that the power couple had tried clueing her into the pregnancy ahead of Met Monday.

“Rihanna and Rocky and I and some other people actually had dinner the night before the Met, and he was dropping all these hints, and I was being really English and not saying anything,” she admitted.

While at the Met Gala — which he co-chaired — Rocky spoke to the Associated Press about how happy he was to share the baby news with the world.

“It feels amazing, you know? We were tired of hiding that, and it was time to show people what we were cooking up,” he said. “I’m glad everybody’s happy for us because we’re definitely happy.”

Earlier this month, the record producer was a guest on The Run-Through with Vogue podcast, where he gushed about fatherhood.

“It’s amazing. Obviously, they [are] still growing into their personalities and stuff and developing, but it’s amazing,” he remarked. “You know, it’s just like their children, just to see them actually, like interact with each other, interact with me, and with their mom. And it’s amazing. It’s beautiful.”

The “Sundress” rapper continued, “It’s something that you dream about, and when it happens, it’s just like you [are] living your dream and that, all jokes aside, and I hate to make it sound extra… but that’s just how it is for me.”
