Kelly Clarkson is a busy woman – and she’s about to get busier!
Aside from juggling her talk show and a residency in Las Vegas, Clarkson is adding even more work to her already-packed schedule by agreeing to serve as a coach on The Voice: Battle of Champions, and according to a source, friends are worried it’ll tip her over the edge.
While the show isn’t set to premiere until spring 2026, a source exclusively tells Star that “the feeling is she’s taking on too much.”
“She hasn’t pulled the plug on her talk show, but bosses want her to stay despite their differences, and conferences are in the works,” continues the source. “She’s juggling so many balls at once.”
The source says the mother of two, 43 – who shares River Rose, 11, and Remington Alexander, 9, with ex Brandon Blackstock – is “completely burning out and running on fumes” as of late.
“It’s astonishing to friends that she’s taken this offer,” adds the source. “Of course, The Voice is a favorite of hers and it’ll be fun, but people would have preferred for her to pass on it, take a break, be with family and stop worrying about money and putting herself in the spotlight.”

This comes weeks after Clarkson left fans shocked and disappointed when she canceled a Vegas concert less than two hours before it was scheduled to start.
“We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans’” she said in a statement shared on Instagram. “The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice.”
“I want the shows to be perfect for y’all,” she shared, “and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.”
Now, the source spills to Star that she’s “clearly unable to handle” the pressure from all of her commitments.
“Why else would she be canceling gigs?” the source asks. “There comes a point when a person has to say no, and it’s arrived, but try telling that to Kelly.”
Clarkson even has celebrity pal Dolly Parton concerned and hoping to “get to the bottom of what’s wrong,” according to another insider.
“Dolly’s calling and checking in with Kelly and offering support,” the insider recently told Star. “She wants to get together and have a talk, just the two of them, without any interruptions.”
