Kaia Gerber and Austin Butler are so 2024. A source confirms the A-listers have officially split — the first celeb couple to call it quits in 2025! Rumors of a breakup first bubbled up after Austin, 33, didn’t join Kaia, 23, for her family’s annual New Year’s vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
“The end had been coming for a while,” says the source, explaining, “There wasn’t any drama.” While some pointed to the pair’s 10-year age gap, the source says that wasn’t the issue. “They’re both just focused on work right now.” Indeed, Kaia’s modeling career gained international momentum last year, and Austin was busy shooting upcoming crime thriller Caught Stealing.
Tellingly, he was also absent from the supermodel’s Disneyland birthday in September. “Friends noticed they’d been growing apart in recent months,” says the source. “They didn’t have much time for each other, and trying to sustain a long-distance relationship was kind of hopeless. They’re in the prime of their careers and just weren’t ready to give any of that up.”
