Jaime King’s Downward Spiral: Evicted, Heartbroken, And Losing Her Kids

Jaime King’s terrible, horrible, no good, very bad month culminated with her losing a custody battle after being evicted weeks earlier.

By far the biggest blow was when a judge awarded her ex-husband, Kyle Newman, sole physical custody of their two sons, Leo, 9, and James, 11. Though they’ll share legal custody, Jaime will only have supervised visits with the boys three times a week until she completes a six-month drug and alcohol program.

A source says the Pearl Harbor star, 45, was “shattered” by the decision.

The couple married in 2007, and Jaime filed for divorce in 2020. Newman, 49, alleged in court filings that Jaime was “a chronic drug addict and alcoholic,” though she claimed at the time she had tested drug- and alcohol-free.

Jaime was recently evicted from her $10,145-a-month rental, with her landlady saying she owes her around $42,580 in back rent.

But “the situation with my landlord was resolved privately,” Jaime insisted, accusing her of trying to exploit the situation for attention.
