Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster Treading Lightly With Wedding Plans Out of Respect for Their Kids
The kids are not all right? Sutton Foster and Hugh Jackman are ready to wed, but are treading lightly because of their kids’ complicated feelings. Hugh, 57, hard-launched his two-year romance with Sutton, 50, last fall, months after finalizing his divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness.
His kids, Oscar, 25, and Ava, 20, are “incredibly protective of their mom,” says a source, and are still coming around to the idea of their dad remarrying. “Hugh wants to be respectful of that.” (Sutton’s daughter, Emily, 9, with ex Ted Griffin is a factor too.)
The pair are conflicted because once Sutton’s divorce is final, they “both want their loved ones with them to celebrate,” says the source, but after months of dating on the sly to avoid ruffling feathers, “they want to be loud and proud now. They aren’t outright opposed to eloping but it isn’t either of their dream scenarios.”
