Hugh Jackman ‘Adamant’ Sutton Foster is His ‘Soulmate’, Sees No Reason for Prenup If They Marry
Ever the romantic, even if it costs him! According to a source, Hugh Jackman is all in on his Music Man costar Sutton Foster. So much so that he’s willing to walk down the aisle without the safeguard of a prenup.
“Hugh’s adamant that he trusts Sutton and that she’s his soulmate,” says an insider, adding that the 56-year-old is “so relieved” that his 27-year marriage to Deborra-Lee Furness has legally ended, nearly two years after their 2023 split. (The pair’s reported $250 million settlement was “uncontested” in late June, per People.)
The dad of two adult kids is ready to move on. Once Sutton, 50, is officially divorced from ex Ted Griffin, “Hugh will be making things official. He doesn’t want or need a prenup — his rationale is that anything they make together would be a 50-50 split, and he’ll hold onto what he had before.”
Per the source, the Younger star and mom of one, worth a reported $4 million, believes eschewing a prenup “shows they’re equal partners even if they don’t have equal bank accounts. Sutton knows she’s lucky and feels like this shows Hugh believes in the true meaning of marriage.”
