Eldridge Toney, Anna Cardwell’s Widower, Expecting First Child With Fiancee Jessie English

Eldridge Toney and fiancée Jessie English announced they are expecting their first child together two years after the death of his late wife, Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell.

“We are extremely excited to announce!! Baby Toney due September!!!” English captioned a photo of a baby onesie, a positive pregnancy test and a sonogram photo on Monday, January 26. She added a pink heart, blue heart and baby emoji to her caption.

The couple began dating in March 2025, after connecting on Tinder. Their relationship progressed quickly as they announced their engagement in December.

“Regardless of what people say I’m happy! I’m thankful for this girl coming into my life and helping me get thru hard times. I loved Anna with everything in me. I miss her everyday but I can’t have her back,” Toney shared via Instagram on January 2. “I have come to terms that life goes on and Anna would want me happy just as if roles were reversed I’d want her happy.”

“I do have my bad days where I wanna shut down but I have [Jessie] to support me and get thru it,” he added. “So with the cards I have been dealt I’m doing the best I can.”

Cardwell died in December 2023 after a short battle with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma. The Here Comes Honey Boo Boo alum left behind two daughters, Kylee, 9, and Kaitlyn, 12.
