Brooke Hogan is turning her heartbreak into music.
Eight months after skipping her father Hulk Hogan’s funeral, the 37-year-old singer and songwriter took to Instagram on Monday, March 9, to release a deeply emotional song inspired by their complicated relationship. Hulk — born Terry Gene Bollea — died July 24, 2025, at age 71.
In a preview of her new track, “Wanna Go Back,” Brooke sings, “I don’t wanna go back, ’cause you were my world, and I was your girl. But Daddy, come back.” The lyrics also reveal lingering pain: “I don’t wanna go back, ’cause what you did to me, Daddy you lying there, made a fool out of me.”
Brooke did not attend Hulk’s August 5 funeral in Florida, later explaining on her Instagram that he “hated the morbidity of funerals” and that she chose to honor him privately. Instead, she took her now 13-month-old twins, Oliver Andrew and Molly Gene, whom she shares with husband Steven Oleksy, to the beach, a place that held special meaning for them.

As Starpreviously reported, Brooke also questioned aspects of Hulk’s death, including why no autopsy was performed. Medical records later listed a heart attack as the cause and noted underlying health conditions.
Brooke has admitted their relationship was strained in the final years amid their years-long estrangement. Still, “We never had a ‘big fight,’” she shared after his passing on Instagram.
Now, she appears to be working through grief the only way she knows how: through music.
Brooke teased that the full track will drop on Friday, March 13 on Spotify and Apple Music.
