Brody Jenner Shares Painful Past and Recent Reconciliation with Caitlyn Jenner

Brody Jenner just opened up about his difficult relationship with his father, the Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner, who transitioned to Caitlyn Jenner in 2015.

After the 41-year-old’s parents split in 1991, he said his father “wasn’t around much,” especially after he wed mom of four Kris Jenner, had two kids with her and went on to star in their reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

“To be honest, I felt a little abandoned,” Brody said on a recent episode of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. Things got even more painful when his dad decided to televise the transition, including intimate conversations with Brody. “There were these moments that we would have,” Brody said of feeling exposed and uncomfortable, “and it was all filmed and it just felt very invasive and not very genuine.”

Although that period was rough, the two have somewhat repaired their relationship. “Just recently, I got a real, sincere apology,” he said, adding, “Honestly, it meant a lot.”
