At press time, multiple wildfires were engulfing large swaths of the Los Angeles area, displacing 100,000 people and destroying hundreds of properties. The entertainment industry ground to a halt, with much production suspended as firefighters battled the blaze amid dangerously high winds.
Many celebs evacuated their homes, with some learning that their residences had burned to the ground. “We raised our children and grandchildren here,” Billy Crystal wrote of his Pacific Palisades house. “Every inch of our house was filled with love.” Heidi Montag shared a teary TikTok saying she wished she could have saved more, while TMZ posted footage of Adam Brody and Leighton Meester’s home in flames. As Paris Hilton wrote, “Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience.”
