Britney Spears has blamed her doppelgänger after an alarming video of her driving dangerously was shared by the Daily Mail on Thursday, October 23.
“If anyone is wondering the lookalike was not me…🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤓,” the pop star, 43, wrote on Instagram on Saturday, October 25.
“Unfortunately, I don’t feel respected at all by the most unbelievably horriblethings being said about me,” she wrote in another post on Sunday, October 26, seemingly alluding to her ex-husband Kevin Federline’s recently released memoir, You Thought You Knew.

Now, her loved ones are “terrified” that she’s “losing control,” the Daily Mail reported on Sunday, October 26.
“There’s a lot of concern. Everyone has always wanted the best for her, and she’s showing right now that she’s making bad choices,” a source told the outlet of the “Toxic” singer, who was filmed swerving across the road and into the bike lane in the video of her, taken in the L.A. suburb of Thousand Oaks, California.
“So there’s a lot of talk about what to do, if anything. How can we protect her from herself,” the friend continued to the Daily Mail, adding that the family is discussing an intervention, much like the one done amid her increasingly erratic behavior in 2008.
Spears was placed under a conservatorship, but her father, Jamie, was vilified by the public because of the legal arrangement, which finally ended in 2021.
“People said he was trying to grab her money, which is not true,” the source told the Daily Mail. “So the question is whether anyone should step in to help her, and deal with the backlash.”
