The whispers of trouble began after Amy Schumer scrubbed her Instagram account — including every picture of husband of seven years Chris Fischer — and restarted her feed with a pic of herself in a minidress.
Now a source says the comedian, 44, and the chef, 45, are navigating a rough patch. “They both want this marriage to work, but things are rocky at the moment.”

Amy, who’s been flaunting her newly trim figure, “wants to be out socializing, but that is not what Chris wants, so it’s caused tension,” adds the source.
The I Feel Pretty actress has been open about her quest to shed pounds, admitting that she pursued a second weight-loss medication after the first caused debilitating side effects.
Her dramatic transformation “has made Amy a whole lot more confident,” says the source. “And when one partner changes, it’s pretty common for things in a relationship to blow up.” (Per a recent New York Times article, one study showed marriages can suffer if one spouse experiences “extreme weight loss.”)

While Amy insisted in her Nov. 6 Instagram story, “Chris and I are still married,” other signs that the parents of son Gene, 6, are in crisis include their recent sale of properties in New Orleans and Brooklyn.
Says the source, “Amy has admitted they’re struggling, but she’s told everyone they’re working on it. That hasn’t stopped whispers that it’s already over.”
