After coming home to a butt-load of insulting comments about her famous physique, Iggy Azalea is saying good bye to social media! The singer gave her reasons in a massive Twitter rant on Thursday, explaining that, “It is too negative and draining, and thus I can no longer ignore the Internet is bad for happiness, unless your sadistic.”
Earlier this week, photographs emerged of the 24-year-old wearing a little red bikini while vacationing in Hawaii with her boyfriend, Nick Young. The clear revelation that the “Fancy” singer is human like the rest of us, flaws and all, triggered a trash-talking tirade among her followers. “Apparently it’s shocking and unheard of to be a woman and have cellulite,” the voluptuous Aussie spat back on Twitter. “I feel the hatred and pettiness I see online at all times is making me become an angry person and I cannot be that.”
Scolding the public in Iggy’s defense, talk show Wendy Williams addressed the issue on her show Thursday morning. “I want you all to leave her alone,” she said. “I know who the haters are: my people. It seems like black people don’t want this girl to win because she’s white. She got herself what looks like a black girl’s butt and a black boyfriend. You need to stop that hate and get a life, haters.”
The Wilhelmina model is no stranger to public battles, with recent online feuds with Azealia Banks, Snoop Dogg and Eminem under her belt — and now the American public — it’s no wonder she’s had enough!
