Listen up 19 Kids and Counting fans — Jim Bob Duggar says the show isn’t going anywhere! While attending the Booster Banquet at Hannibal LaGrange University in November, the Duggar patriarch responded to petitioners trying to shut the show down.
After the Duggars opposed an LGBTQ ordinance in their town, activists started a Change.org petition to have the family’s hit TLC show canceled…but their movement doesn’t seem to bother Jim Bob. “They won’t succeed,” he told his audience last month. “Our show is the number one show on TLC. We love everybody. It’s a small group creating this fuss. All it has done is give us more exposure.”
Indeed, the TLC hit doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon, with the current season showing the family prepare for Jill and Jessa Duggars‘ weddings. However, faith is a major component of the family’s life, and their beliefs have clearly turned off the LGBTQ community.
