A lot went down on Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta — so much, in fact, that all the ladies weren’t even concerned with the Porsha Williams/Cynthia Bailey bicker fest considering they all had problems of their own!
While dealing with a slacking office staff, Kandi Burruss asked her husband, Todd Tucker, with help reprimanding her employees. Meanwhile, newcomer Claudia Jordan, tries adding peacemaker to her resume by meeting Porsha for lunch and trying, unsuccessfully, to convince her to mend her relationship with Kenya Moore.
And speaking of relationships, delusional Apollo Nida meets with Peter Thomas to — what else? — talk trash about his wife, Phaedra Parks, and her decision not to visit him in prison! He also shares details of his past with Phaedra (for instance, she used to visit him in a housing project and sleep with him on an air mattress).
Meanwhile, NeNe Leakes joins Porsha, Kandi and Phaedra for a day at the spa. But instead of relaxing treatments, the women treat themselves to a conversation about Apollo’s admission that he lied about being hit on by Kenya two years before. NeNe makes a point that Apollo could be lying about the lie just to hurt Phaedra, and Kandi wastes no time delivering this information to Kenya at a kickboxing class.
Hurt and emotional, Kenya runs to the bathroom, even asking the camera crew to leave. Kenya reveals that she doesn’t know what she’s done to warrant such horrible treatment from her fellow cast members, and confides in Kandi that Apollo’s accusations caused her family members to questions her character. “I’m just gonna keep getting back up,” she concludes.
Up next week: Lots of drama is expected during this season’s first group dinner, where the ladies air out their differences — and maybe some dirty laundry, too!
