Jenny McCarthy isn’t in with the in-laws. The former View cohost, who wed Donnie Wahlberg in a lavish ceremony on Aug. 31, is still struggling to win over his relatives.
The strained relationships came to a head when Donnie’s family — including brothers Mark and Robert, as well as their mom, Alma — all skipped the ceremony. “A lot of the Wahlbergs are suspicious of Jenny,” A source tells Star. “She’s made a career out of being brassy and talkative and oversharing details about her personal life. It rubs them the wrong way and they don’t see her as one of them.”
But pals close to Jenny say she has no intention of giving up. “She’s convinced that as time goes on, Donnie’s family will see how happy he is,” adds the friend, “and realize how good she is for him.”
