Slowly but surely, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are piecing their family back together. Just months after the A-list couple announced their separation in late August, they reunited for family time over the holidays.
The Behind the Candelabra star shared a Facebook photo of himself, his wife, and their two kids, Dylan and Carys, on the ski slopes New Year’s Day. “Happy New Year from Quebec, Canada… where it is minus 10F,” he captioned the happy family pic.
This wasn’t the first time the duo spent time together recently, either. On Dec. 22, they were together as a family again in New York City, each wearing their wedding ring.
As Star reported in September, Michael and Catherine’s rift was due to stress from his cancer battle in 2011, as well as her bipolar disorder. “Catherine went off the rails and talked about ending their relationship for good,” a family friend reveals. “But Michael gave her the space she needed in order to fight her demons and evaluate if she really wanted to save their relationship.”
