After delaying their wedding until California legalized same-sex marriage, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard — parents of 5-month-old daughter Lincoln — still aren’t yet rushing to the altar.
“We aren’t having a wedding,” Kristen told Star. “We could literally go to the court tomorrow and just sign the papers.”
The Veronica Mars actress, 33, says that she and 38-year-old Dax, her fiancé of three-plus years, don’t need a lavish party to celebrate their bond. “The legal opportunities that come with marriage [are what’s important to us],” she said. “Now, with everything that passed with gay rights, we are happy to join in and be legally bound.”
As for Lincoln? “She’s amazing. We’re so lucky.”
