Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have been engaged for four years, and even have a three-month-old baby girl, Lincoln, but are they finally ready to walk down the aisle? Now that the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) has officially been declared unconstitutional — they just might be!
Today’s historic overturning of DOMA gives legally married same sex couples the same federal rights as heterosexual couples. Kristen and Dax have been public about their decision to hold off their own wedding until the law was overturned, and now, they’ve finally gotten their wish.
After the announcement was made, Kristen tweeted, “.@daxshepard1 will you marry me? Xo #marriageequality #loveislove.” So, yeah, it looks like after four years she’s finally ready to make this thing official! Does this mean we’ll get to see little Lincoln as a flower girl?!
Dax added to the discussion by tweeting, “DOMA is dead. Prop 8 is dead. Now let’s bring my big, gay marriage to @IMKristenBell to Life!!!!”
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are another couple who’ve held off marriage until same sex couples have the same rights, so maybe we’ll see Brangelina say “I Do” in 2013, too!
