Things weren’t so peachy for Phaedra Parks on Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta! Still upset about her husband, Apollo Nida’s, aggression on last week’s episode, the lawyer and mortician vents to her mother about preparing for life as a single mother, while dealing with a husband who’s insecure about her success.
While Phaedra deals with her family problems, NeNe Leakes and Porsha Williams meet for lunch and drinks to dish about their separate issues with Cynthia Bailey. Hoping all of the ladies can at least be cordial, NeNe invites Cynthia, Kenya Moore and Porsha for a sit down.
First up at the reconciliation meal, NeNe and Cynthia discuss the status of their friendship, and end things with a hug. But while Cynthia seems to think the friendship is on the road to recovery, a visibly upset NeNe admits she needs more time. “Maybe in a couple of years we can go to lunch,” the soon-to-be Broadway star tells Cynthia. Ouch!
Next up: Porsha and Cynthia bicker back and forth about their disastrous lunch date and where their relationship stands. Eventually, Kenya interrupts, and she and Porsha go at it about their huge reunion show throw down earlier this year (which resulted in Porsha’s arrest)! Eventually, a conciliatory Kenya asks if they can hug it out and move forward. A reluctant Porsha agrees, and Kenya asks if they can “wipe the slate clean.”
Meanwhile, Kandi Burruss is bickering, yet again, with husband, Todd Tucker, about their mothers — and Todd informs his wife that he won’t be attending any holiday dinners if her mom, Mama Joyce, is present. The fight causes Kandi to walk out on her husband.
Claudia Jordan manages to stay away from the drama in this week’s episode, and instead entertains her visiting mother and 90-year-old grandmother by taking them to a drag queen restaurant.
