Savannah Chrisley recently opened up about a cosmetic procedure she underwent to lose weight.
On the Tuesday, July 15, episode of her Unlocked podcast, the Chrisley Knows Best star, 27, sat down with Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Charlie Galanis and revealed that he performed liposuction on her as she was struggling with weight gain from a chronic condition.
“I was going through all kinds of s**t with my endometriosis, and I had taken this medication, and I gained 40 lbs literally in like 3 months,” she recalled. “It was crazy. And I had to do this like, campaign shoot, and I hated how I looked, and I called you.”

During the podcast, Savannah discussed how her outward appearance affected how she was feeling on the inside.
“I felt like s**t. I didn’t like how I looked,” she confessed. “If you don’t like how you look, it doesn’t just take a toll on you physically, but emotionally and mentally.”
The reality TV personality — who shared her endometriosis diagnosis publicly in 2020 — did not mention what year she got liposuction but noted that her mom, Julie Chrisley, came to Beverly Hills with her for the surgery.
Julie, 52, and her husband, Todd Chrisley, were convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud in 2022 but were granted full pardons by President Trump in May. Todd, 56, was serving a 12-year sentence at Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida, while Julie was serving seven years at Kentucky’s Federal Medical Center Lexington.
“It happened fast. It was a while ago,” Savannah shared. “It was around Christmastime.”

Six weeks after she went under the knife, Savannah said she felt like a “totally different human being” and “absolutely loved” her results.
“It made me want to live a healthier life,” she remarked. “When I saw the results, I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, I want to keep this up.’”
As to why Savannah never previously discussed this surgery, she said she kept quiet about it because of “the stigma that goes along with it.”
“I was going through all of my health stuff. Gaining weight, I was working out, eating right, nothing was working,” she recounted. “That’s the thing, being on TV and having to do a campaign shoot for a product. I’m like, I can’t show up looking the way that I look. To me, it didn’t fit the brand. I didn’t feel good. I needed a quick fix.”
