Prepare to be shocked: Mariah Carey was a high-maintenance headache while shooting her cameo in Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler’s upcoming movie, The House, about an illegal basement casino.
“We did some reshoots with Mariah… and it did not go well,” costar Rob Huebel told Sirius XM’s EW Morning Live. “It was bananas. She showed up four hours late and was like, ‘Um, first of all, there needs to be all white roses in my trailer, and I need a bunch of stuffed lambs.’”
Then, after refusing to sing as she was hired to do, Mimi tried to turn the comedy into a sci-fi flick! “In her scene, someone was supposed to shoot her, but she didn’t want that,” recalled Rob. “She was like, ‘I don’t feel like my character would get killed by bullets. What if I deflected them like Wonderwoman?’”
In the end, Rob isn’t sure whether Mariah’s role was left on the cutting room floor: “Just know, if you see her, oh, they had to work for it!”
