Amanda Bynes Update: Will She Face Charges For Setting a Fire?

The fact that Amanda Bynes set a fire to a random woman’s driveway on Monday night is confusing enough, but now, even more details from the night she was taken into custody on a 5150 have emerged.

Immediately after Amanda set the fire, she was seen running into a nearby liquor store with her tiny dog in hand. Apparently, she’d accidentally gotten the gasoline she was using to set the fire all over her tiny pooch, and she needed somewhere to clean him off. The liquor store employee reported that Amanda raced to the back of the store to use the sink, but when she was approached, she “freaked out” and left right away.

That’s when Amanda was taken into custody and placed under a 5150 hold, meaning she’ll be have a mental evaluation. If doctors find she is not a danger to herself or others, though, she’ll be able to leave in 72 hours.

Luckily for Amanda, she reportedly won’t face charges for setting the fire. However, if doctors find she is a danger to herself or others, she could be placed under a conservatorship — a la Britney Spears!
