Per The U.S. Sun, the revamped Season 12 — featuring an entirely new cast of West Hollywood servers — debuted on December 2 to just 290,000 viewers, an 80 percent plunge from last season’s premiere and earning it the inglorious distinction of lowest-ranked episode in the franchise’s history.
One production insider told The U.S. Sun that Bravo executives are “struggling with the reboot,” adding, “they don’t find the show to be as good,” and that “the cast is not landing with the audience like the network thought before they filmed, and this big revival turned out to be a letdown.”

The insider claimed the weak engagement has put the show’s future at risk.
“The numbers for premiere week ratings are still coming in,” the insider told the outlet, “and it’s still early, but based on early numbers, the lack of audience reaction, engagement, and overall interest, it’s likely at this point that the reboot will not come back.”
But a second show source pushed back on those claims, per the outlet, saying that Lisa Vanderpump, the only returning original cast member, has been “very generous with her time promoting this show,” adding that Vanderpump, 65, even hosted a SUR party earlier this week.
Still, with longtime fan favorites like Tom Sandoval, 42, Scheana Shay, 40, and Ariana Madix, 40, gone — and none returning for cameos — the reboot faces an uphill battle as Season 12 rolls on.
