Val Chmerkovskiy is dealing with a health situation on the Dancing with the Stars tour.

On Sunday, March 1, the beloved DWTS cast member, 39, took to Instagram, revealing he was hospitalized and could not perform in the show in Peoria, Illinois that day.

“My apologies to all the fans that came out to see us today in Peoria. Thank you to my fellow castmates for rallying,” Chmerkovskiy wrote on his Instagram Story on top of a selfie of him at the hospital. “Little bump in the road I’ll be good to go asap. It takes quite literally me not being able to stand on my feet to keep me off that stage. Unfortunately, I just couldn’t make it tonight.”

The professional ballroom dancer also posted a video on the platform explaining why he was in the hospital.

“I’ve just been having vertigo for the past couple of days, and had it yesterday,” he shared. “I was able to get through the show, and then we ran some tests, and then again, we’re on the bus. I guess that kind of, once that little crystal [is] in your equilibrium — again I’m learning a lot — once it goes out, it’s really hard to get it back in.”

“I’m just spinning everywhere,” Chmerkovskiy added. “So on the bus, when it’s moving, you know, I just woke up and couldn’t get myself together. Hopefully tomorrow’s a day off, and I’ll be back on Tuesday.”

“Sorry my friends… small hiccup. ❤️,” he captioned his post.

Friends and family took to the comment section to send love to the three-time Mirror Ball champion.

Season 34 competitor Dylan Efron penned some heartfelt words: “Feeling for you Val, Vertigo is awful. Happened to me right before DWTS but it healed quickly. rest up and get those crystals aligned ❤️.”

Meanwhile, Chmerkovskiy’s wife, fellow pro dancer Jenna Johnson, commented, “😢❤️‍🩹.”

“Vertigo is awful I’m so sorry babe. Feel better soon xx,” former pro dancer Sharna Burgess wrote.

The next stop on the DWTS tour — which runs through May — is Tuesday, March 3, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at the Miller High Life Theatre.
