Two Former Pals Try to Revive Their Friendship After a Drunken Night in ‘People We Meet on Vacation’

Poppy (Emily Bader) is a kooky, freewheeling travel writer who lives in New York City. Even though she couldn’t be more different than her college BFF, buttoned-up Ohio high-school teacher Alex (Tom Blyth), the two always take a vacation together every summer.

But fun-loving “Vacation Poppy” and “Vacation Alex” fear their relationship won’t work the other 51 weeks of the year, so they never cross the friend-lover Rubicon…. until on one trip, they share a drunken embrace. Embarrassed and confused, they don’t speak for several years, until Poppy invites Alex on one last getaway to see if they can save their friendship — or maybe even turn it into something more.

Based on the bestseller by Emily Henry and filmed in New Orleans and Costa Brava and Barcelona, Spain, this sweet and funny rom-com is totally worth the ticket.
