Theo Von is speaking out — and walking back his unwavering support for President Donald Trump.
The comedian and podcast host, once seen as part of the pro-Trump media circle, is now criticizing Trump over the escalating Iran conflict.
During the Monday, April 20 episode of his podcast, This Past Weekend, Von didn’t hold back. “Besides the war, the industrial war complex, what American… what guy who’s trying to take care of his family or a single mother who’s a nurse who’s going to work and has to get home and get to her kid’s ballgame and, and has to be both parents…what, what farmer is this helping? What regular person is this helping? I just don’t know. I don’t understand,” he questioned in a clip shared by Daily Beast.

He went even further, calling the situation “diabolical” and “insane.”
Von had previously been part of a group of influencers — alongside voices like Joe Rogan and Tucker Carlson — who helped boost Trump’s popularity, especially among younger voters before his reelection.
Carlson, per The Independent, recently admitted he regrets backing Trump, saying he would be “tormented” by it, while Rogan has questioned whether the war, which reportedly cost $11 billion in its first week (per Reuters) is distracting from other controversies.
And yet, Von didn’t end there with bashing Trump. He also trained a critical eye on the president’s political ties to Israel.
“So yeah, that’s what our president’s up to, and it’s f**king baffling,” ranted Von. “And it’s sick, and it feels like he’s just been compromised by Israel, by this dark government over there. And I don’t know. It’s f**king dark. It’s dark.”
