Teyana Taylor is finally clearing up one of the Golden Globes’ most unexpected viral moments.
The actress, 35, confirmed on Tuesday, January 13, that she was the mystery celebrity Leonardo DiCaprio was speaking to in a now-viral clip that shows the actor discussing K-Pop during a commercial break at the awards show on Sunday, January 11.
While walking the red carpet at The Rip premiere in New York City, Taylor was asked about the widely-shared clip, which had social media buzzing over who DiCaprio was talking to off-camera.
“Oh, my God. He was talking to me,” she said, according to Us Weekly. “That’s what makes it even funnier.”

The clip quickly became a meme, showing DiCaprio enthusiastically recounting a red-carpet exchange about K-pop with an unseen celebrity.
“I was watching you with the K-pop thing,” DiCaprio appeared to say in the video. “You were like, ‘Is that? K-pop?’”
The moment capped off a milestone night for Taylor, who took home her first Golden Globe, winning Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in One Battle After Another. DiCaprio also starred in the film.
An emotional Taylor admitted during her acceptance speech that she hadn’t expected the win.

She went on to thank director Paul Thomas Anderson, adding, “My gratitude is endless. I love you. We love you, and thank you so much for holding space for me and our entire cast.”
Taylor dedicated her win to “my Brown sisters and little Brown girls watching.”
