She’s from Paterson, did you forget? Teresa Giudice’s hot Italian temper came out during an interview that quickly went awry.
On Friday, June 20, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 53, appeared on WGN Morning News to promote her “Party With a Housewife: Teresa Giudice” event that she’s hosting at Zanies Comedy Night Club in Rosemont, Illinois, on June 29.
The conversation appeared to be going well, with one of the anchors asking about Teresa’s time on television, her current status with frenemy and former co-star Danielle Staub, and whether or not the Turning the Tables author would participate in the rumored RHONJ reboot.
“I hope, I’m the OG, you know, so we’ll see what happens,” Teresa replied. “You have to ask Bravo for that.”
However, the interview turned sour when anchor Larry Potash suddenly touched on a sore subject. “Yea, so you’re going to be at Zanies, people are going to ask you all kinds of questions,” he began. “How is it that a family doesn’t pay their taxes for years?”
Visibly confused, Teresa responded, “What family are you talking about?”
“Your family,” Potash answered. “Is that what the fraud charges were?”
“OK, I’m hanging up,” Teresa replied, grabbing hold of her phone. “This is, let’s just hang up. That’s it.” The call was then disconnected.
“She didn’t like that question,” Potash continued. “Wasn’t that part of the show?”

Potash’s co-anchor went on to explain that Teresa had previously served time in prison for mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud, and that she and husband Louis “Luis” Ruelas are now facing tax charges.
“That’s what reality shows are made of!” Potash quipped.
Hours later, he doubled down by reposting a clip of the cringe-worthy moment that was shared on X and writing, “In the words of one of our viewers, she evaded that question like… taxes.”
As Star previously reported, the reality star and Ruelas, 49, owe more than $3 million in New Jersey taxes. “Teresa has no discipline when it comes to money,” an insider shared in April. “You’d think she would have learned her lesson, but she and Luis have been living way above their means.”
Fans were shocked to learn earlier this year that Teresa had found herself in financial trouble once again considering all that she endured after she and ex-husband Joe Giudice — who share daughters Gia, 24, Gabriella, 20, Milania, 19 and Audriana, 15 — plead guilty to fraud in 2014. (Teresa served 11 months behind bars; Joe served 41 months and was later deported to his native Italy before relocating to the Bahamas.)
Though both Teresa and Ruelas have not spoken publicly about the matter, Gia touched on the topic during an episode of her “Casual Chaos” podcast in March. “My mom has everything under control,” the Next Gen NYC star said at the time. “There’s nothing to worry about.”
