Travis Kelce’s failed 2023 grand gesture to his then-crush, Taylor Swift — trying to gift her a homemade friendship bracelet — might have gone forever unrequited if not for Taylor’s mom.
In the docuseries Taylor Swift: The End of an Era, Andrea Swift revealed that she’d swooned over how “earnest” it was of Travis to offer the bracelet — like the ones thousands of fans exchanged during the Eras tour — calling it a symbol of Taylor’s “world.” She added, “To me, that really said a lot.”
After doing some recon on the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 36, Andrea was sold when she learned he “really loves his mom,” she admitted. “I went, ‘Ding ding ding!’” Her next challenge was getting Tay, also 36, to shift her non-athlete dating preferences to “start doing something different.” She did — and the rest is history!
