Taylor Frankie Paul is stepping back from the spotlight.

The 31-year-old reality star has deactivated her TikTok and Instagram accounts following months of personal turmoil, including a highly publicized domestic dispute with ex Dakota Mortensen.

According to People, “Taylor is taking a breather,” a source told the outlet on Thursday, April 23. “It’s been a lot last couple months to consume and [she] will be back shortly to continue sharing her story. She’ll decide when the time is right to return to filming on Secret Lives [of Mormon Wives].”

The social media teardown is an about-face for Taylor — who shares son Ever, 2, with Mortensen, and who is also mom to daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 5, with ex-husband Tate Paul. Per the outlet, on April 20, Taylor rebuffed a TikTok fan’s comment that she should plan to heal “off of social media.”

“That sounds like the reasonable answer,” replied Paul, “however I will be doing the opposite. I’ll continue sharing on social media showing how ugly healing truly can be.”

As Star previously reported, Paul’s planned season of The Bachelorette was scrapped after footage surfaced of a violent altercation with Mortensen, and filming on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was also paused.

Before deactivating her social media accounts, Paul pushed back when People reported on Wednesday, April 22, that filming for the Hulu series would move forward without her and Mortensen. “Interesting, that’s not the call I got,” she wrote in an Instagram comment underneath the outlet’s post accompanying the story.

Last week, authorities confirmed neither Paul nor Mortensen, 33, would face charges related to their most recent dispute.

On April 20, Mortensen later addressed the situation on his Instagram with an open letter to fans and followers, saying he takes “accountability” but disagrees with how events were portrayed publicly. He added that his focus is now on Ever, and “creating a stable, healthy environment for him moving forward.”
