Sydney Sweeney Opens Up About Her Family’s Humble Roots Before She Became a Successful Actress

These days she has a reported net worth of $40 million, but things weren’t always so flush for Sydney Sweeney.

The 27-year-old — who’s currently making bank selling a limited-edition $8 soap containing “a touch” of her own bath water — recently shared how tough times were when she was a kid.

In 2013, when the Euphoria actress was 16, her mom, a criminal defense attorney, and dad, who worked in the hospitality industry, filed for bankruptcy.

“We lived in the Holiday Inn in Burbank [Calif.] for eight-and-a-half months,” the Spokane, Wash., native told The Times, adding that she, her mom, dad and brother Trent shared a one-bedroom hotel room with “no kitchen, no balcony. A pull-out sofabed, where my dad and brother slept, my mom and me in the bed… My brother and I tried to make the best of it — we would joke around and say we were in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.”

Now the Anyone But You star has her pick of where to lay her head: She owns a $6.1 million home in Bel-Air, Calif., $4.4 million digs in L.A. and a $13.8 million spread in the Florida Keys.

And the actress, up next in Echo Valley, has no plans to slow down. “I will always want to work harder,” she told the outlet. “Achieve more.”
