Secrets Resurface in ‘The Survivors’, Netflix’s Haunting New Tasmanian Thriller

A young couple — Kieran (Charlie Vickers) and Mia (Yerin Ha) — return to his tiny hometown on the Australian island of Tasmania so his parents can meet their new baby. But when the body of a young woman washes up on the beach, it’s a grim reminder of a past incident when two people drowned and a girl went missing.

Now, a new investigation threatens to peel the scabs off of old wounds, affecting everyone in the close-knit town. The murder mystery is heightened by Tasmania’s dramatic landscape — which could make the beauty spot the next bucket-list destination.
