Sarah Michelle Gellar posed on the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of Rental Family on Wednesday, November 12.

The actress, 48, wore a black and white ensemble that perfectly mixed sophistication with a bit of edge.

Gellar rocked a sleek, tailored black halter jumpsuit featuring a plunging neckline trimmed with a bold white satin lapel, a tuxedo inspired twist on classic red carpet look. The fitted bodice and wide leg pants added structure and flow, while a white clutch with a gold chain handle and oversized rings completed the look.

Known for her breakout role as Buffy Summers in the cult ’90s series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and memorable performances in Cruel Intentions and I Know What You Did Last Summer, Gellar has long been a red carpet favorite.
