Sara Foster revealed that she was set up on a massively age-gapped blind date with none other than George Clooney.
Speaking on the January 15 episode of her The World’s First Podcast, Foster — who is the daughter of acclaimed composer and music mogul David Foster — explained that some friends hooked her up with the Ocean’s Eleven actor decades ago.

“It was such a blah,” the 44-year-old recalled, per the Daily Mail. “Sorry, I had to say it.”
At the time, Foster said she was around 24, which would put Clooney, now 64, at around 44 years old. She described the date as “such a hard ‘no,’” and noted her first impression was that “he is so old.”
“I’m sure George Clooney is a nice guy, but I just remember it being the four of us sitting there and thinking like, ‘I’m gonna die, like I’m gonna die,” Foster said. “Then, here’s this one who just feels like a grandpa. It was depressing. I was so depressed.”

It turns out the date was orchestrated by her friends Cindy Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber. The group went out on a double date and she said things were disastrous from the start. Specifically, she recalls crying about her ex-boyfriend that night to none other than the man she was supposed to be on a date with.
“So I think he was like, ‘This chick’s not OK,’” she explained.
Foster went on to clarify that she does not think Clooney solicited the date and was just as much in the dark about the setup as she was. She speculates it was simply Crawford and Rande failing at an attempt to be matchmakers.
