Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner’s daughter, Romy, found her parents with their throats slit on Sunday, December 14, TMZ reported.
Sources told TMZ that the pair died following a possible argument and that their daughter told police that another family member “should be a suspect” and is “dangerous.” Their son Nick, 32, was later arrested for the crime, according to Page Six.
Nick, who struggled with addiction for years, co-wrote a movie about his experience — Being Charlie — which his father directed in 2015.

Romy, 28, was by his side during an interview with the Los Angeles Times. “This is my best friend and I was there for all of it,” she told the outlet of how the family dealt with Nick’s struggles. “It’s weird but good to see in on the screen.”
Romy, Nick and their other brother, Jake, 34, were last seen in public with Rob, 78, and Michele, 68, at the Spinal Tap 2 premiere in September.
