Prince Harry Honors Princess Diana at Charity Event One Day After Reuniting With King Charles

First he went to see dad, and now he’s remembering mom.

Prince Harry wrapped up his longest U.K. visit in nearly two years with a heartfelt tribute to Princess Diana at a London charity event on September 11 — just one day after his reunion with King Charles III.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, attended an event for The Diana Award, the only charity established in Diana’s name after her tragic 1997 death. Harry joined a group discussing how their social action initiatives have helped uplift mental health.

“My mother believed in the power and agency of young people to positively impact the world. The Diana Award continues her legacy by putting young people at the heart of everything they do,” Harry told the crowd. “Today is a perfect example of that. My message to everyone is don’t stand still, don’t stay silent — make them hear you because you speak for the majority.”

“Purpose combined with action can help overcome a sense of hopelessness,” he added.

The touching appearance came one day after Harry reconnected with Charles, 76, for the first time in nearly two years. On September 10, the former senior royal was spotted arriving at the king’s London residence, Clarence House, during his extended U.K. trip.

After his private meeting with Charles, Harry was asked about his father, telling reporters, “Yes, he’s great, thank you,” according to People.

As Star recently reported, the reunion comes amid reports that Harry and Meghan Markle, 44, are considering producing a documentary about Diana to mark the 30th anniversary of her death in 2027, which could further complicate his relationship with the royal family.
