President Trump Preparing for White House Correspondents’ Dinner With Help of Joke Writers
President Donald Trump is ready to roast the room at this weekend’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
Donald, 79, reportedly hired “joke writers” to help with his first-ever WHCD speech, according to daughter-in-law Lara Trump.
“He’s got some great people who he’s tapping to help him with this, but he comes up with a lot of good material as you see on Truth Social, as you see live in the flesh, himself,” she said during the Monday, April 20, episode of Citizen McCain With Meghan McCain.
Lara — the wife of Eric Trump — added, “He is one of the funniest people I have ever met.”
The My View with Lara Trump podcaster, 41, added, “I hope that he roasts every journalist in the room and I hope I can watch it and enjoy it and I hope he just takes them all to task.”
Donald is expected to attend the annual event for the first time since 2011, when Barack Obama was president. Hosted by mentalist Oz Pearlman, the event is scheduled for Saturday, April 25.
“I think everyone should get ready because he’s going to do some roasting and we know that he doesn’t hold anything back,” Lara added.
