As Star reported, Jose, 24, died tragically Sunday in a boat accident in Miami, leaving behind a pregnant girlfriend.

Outlets initially reported that the woman was his longtime girlfriend-turned-fiancée, Carla.

However, the Daily Mail now reports that the woman from Jose's touching baby announcement is actually 24-year-old Maria Arias.

According to the report, Jose left Carla for Maria.

Just weeks later, Maria became pregnant with their daughter.

"He wanted to name the baby girl Penelope," a relative of Maria told the outlet.
