In Memoriam — Daughters Killed By Texas Mother Finally Laid To Rest In Heart-Wrenching Funeral

The funeral service was held in Limestone Memorial Gardens in Decatur, Alabama, close to the town where both victims were born.  

During the sibling's memorial service, the victim's father, Jason, remained “much stronger than a lot of us could have been,” according to what one of the dad's former classmates told WHNT News.  

As Star readers know, Christy — who had suffered from mental issues, such as depression, in the past — shot and killed both her daughters as part of a revenge plan to get back at their father, after he refused to apologize during an argument.  

"Mr. Sheats stated that Christy knew how much he loved Taylor and Madison and how much they loved him," Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Neels announced days later. "By killing his children, Mr. Sheats will have to live the rest of his life with this horrible memory."  

Christy was fatally shot by police officials after she refused to put down her weapon.
