After king of pop, Michael Jackson, was found dead on June 25, 2009, the "Billy Jean" legend's family sued concert promoter AEG in a wrongful death suit. The company was found not guilty, after the Los Angeles Superior Court ultimately held that Conrad Murray — the doctor who prescribed the powerful anesthetic that ultimately killed the singer — had not been incompetent to do the job for which he was hired.

After Caitlyn Jenner hit and killed Kim Howe, 69, in a fatal car crash in Malibu back in February of 2015, the victim's family decided to settle their case out of court. But despite the cases legal resolution, the I Am Cait star later told NBC that she'll "never get over" what happened. "You just learn to live with it the best you possibly can," she stated.

Daughter of Fast and Furious legend Paul Walker, Meadow, was awarded $10.1 million in April of 2016 in a settlement with the estate of Roger Rodas, the man who was driving the Porsche that killed both men in a fatal car crash in 2013. The 17-year-old still faces the lawsuit against the luxury car manufacturer, whom, according to her lawyer Jeff Milam told People Magazine, she intends to hold responsible "for producing a vehicle that was defective and caused Paul Walker's death."
