Paris Jackson has given insight into why she decided to share details of the perforated septum she got from doing drugs in a recent TikTok video.
“As a recovering heroin/fentanyl/cocaine/alcohol/etc addict, it’s part of my primary purpose to carry the message of recovery to others struggling with it. Not to promote it, but just to carry the message,” Michael Jackson’s daughter wrote in the comments section under a clip of her video that was posted on The Shade Room.
After shining a light up her nose to show the injury, she warned fans, “Don’t do drugs, kids.”
In the video, Paris, who’s been sober nearly six years, explained that she’s lived with the condition since she was 20 and fears having surgery to repair her septum, because “you have to take pills when you do a surgery that gnarly,” adding, “I don’t wanna f**k with that.”
“I’ve found that life keeps happening regardless of whether i’m sober or not,” she shared with her 5 million fans. “But today i get to show up for it.”
