Orlando Bloom showed up to his recent Tonight Show appearance with a trusted companion by his side, as rumors continue to swirl that his nearly decade-long romance with Katy Perry is coming to end.
On the late-night show’s Tuesday, June 10 episode, Bloom greeted host Jimmy Fallon with his teacup poodle Biggie Smalls in his arms.
“He’s a real emotional support animal, because I’m very emotional right now,” the Lord of the Rings actor, 48, said of his pup.
“You really are,” Fallon quipped in response. “Every time I see you.”
Bloom’s appearance comes amid multiple reports that his relationship with fiancée Katy Perry is hanging on by a thread.
According to People, tension between the two began following the September release of 40-year-old Perry’s album, 143.
“Katy was deeply frustrated following the reception,” a source told the outlet. “It made her very stressed. Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension.”
A second source told People that poor reviews for the “Firework” singer’s subsequent tour, Lifetimes — which kicked off April 23 and is set to wrap on Dec. 7 — left Perry feeling “disappointed” as well, resulting in added “stress on their relationship.”
Per Page Six, it’s only a matter of time before Bloom and Perry call it quits. “It’s over,” an insider told the outlet on Tuesday, June 10. “They are waiting until her tour is over before they split.”
The “Teenage Dream” singer and the Pirates of the Caribbean actor began dating in 2016 after meeting at an award show afterparty.

“I met my boyfriend over In-N-Out. We were at the Golden Globes and we weren’t together,” Perry said on a 2019 episode of American Idol. “So I had my security guard grab 10 In-N-Outs and all of a sudden I see my boyfriend’s hand — he wasn’t even sitting at our table — he just swoops in and he grabs it and I was like, ‘Hey that’s my burger!’ ”
The duo briefly broke up a year later before getting back together in 2018. They got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019 and went on to welcome their daughter Daisy Dove in August 2020. (Bloom is also dad to son Flynn, 14, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.)
“I fell in love with Katheryn, this girl from Santa Barbara,” Bloom shared during a 2024 episode of the What Now? with Trevor Noah podcast, explaining that he got to know Perry as a person — not her celebrity persona.
“[We have an] understanding where we came from, what we worked to do, what we had to do to get to where we got to,” he added. “I wouldn’t change it for anything.”
