Olivia Munn says she felt seen — and unexpectedly comforted — after Princess Kate spoke candidly about the emotional fallout that comes after cancer treatment.
“It was so great to hear her say it because I wasn’t able to put the words in myself,” Munn confided.

“The first part is hard,” Munn continued, “but a lot of people don’t talk about how hard the second part is.”
For Munn, who underwent five major surgeries after being diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer — including a double mastectomy and a hysterectomy with oophorectomy — Kate’s words cut straight to the truth.
“It really made me feel so comforted that someone in her position was talking about it, because I needed to hear that,” she explained. “I needed someone to articulate that.”
In spite of her health setbacks, Munn is now a mom of two. She and her funnyman-hubby John Mulaney are parents to son Malcom, 3, and daughter Méi, now 14 months, whom they welcomed via surrogate in 2024.
For her part, Kate, who revealed she was battling cancer in March 2024, announced she was in remission in January 2025.
