Miley Cyrus is opening up about Maxx Morando popping the question, and she admits that she didn’t see the magical moment coming.
During a sitdown with Good Morning America on Wednesday, December 3, the “Flowers” singer, 33, revealed the drummer dropped to one knee to propose during their recent trip to Asia.
“I am not easy to surprise because I love to control every situation, and I had completely surrendered,” Cyrus admitted. “And I’m telling you, I was so, so surprised.”

The superstar proudly flashed her new 14-karat gold sparkler, designed by Jacquie Aiche, and joked that Morando, 27, “did good.”
The interview aired just one day after news broke that the couple — who first connected on a blind date in 2021 — are officially engaged after four years together.
Fans first suspected something big was happening when the pair hit the red carpet at the Avatar: Fire and Ash premiere earlier this week, where her cushion-cut ring was hard to miss.
Cyrus was previously married to Liam Hemsworth from 2018 to 2020.
