Meghan Markle’s Hollywood ‘Comeback’ Is Her ‘Second Shot’ After Giving Up Acting For Prince Harry

Meghan Markle is ready to take Hollywood by storm, a source tells Star.

Last week, the With Love, Meghan host, 44, was spotted on the Pasadena, California set of the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios film Close Personal Friends, in which she is playing herself, The Sun reported.

Now, a source tells Star that the appearance marks an “acting comeback” for the Suits alum, who “is seeing this as the beginning of a new era for her.”

“It’s just the start, she sees herself going all the way to the top,” the source remarks, noting that Meghan had previously put her film and TV career on hold when she married Prince Harry in 2018 and joined the royal family.

“She never got to go as far as she’d hoped with her acting career, so this is a much longed-for second shot,” the source shares.

Despite previously stepping back from acting, the source reports that she has made numerous high-powered connections within the industry since becoming the Duchess of Sussex.

“She was well-connected when she was on Suits, but this [is] a different stratosphere,” the source claims. “She now counts several top Hollywood decision makers as close friends, so she has her pick of scripts.”

“She chose this one because of the team working on it,” the source adds. “It’s top-notch in her book.”
