Meghan Markle Marks Archie’s 6th Birthday with Sweet Instagram Tribute: “Our Son. Our Sun.”

“Happy 6th birthday to Archie!” Meghan Markle captioned a new photo of her eldest child captured in silhouette and posted on Instagram on May 6. “Our son. Our sun,” she wrote, thanking her followers “for all of the love, prayers, and warm wishes for our sweet boy,” and musing, “Where did the time go?”

Prince Harry was out of town on Archie’s birthday — which also marked the second anniversary of Charles’ coronation — in Las Vegas representing the Diana Awards, the charity he and Prince William lead that honors his late mother’s legacy, at ServiceNow’s Knowledge 2025 conference.

That might explain why the Sussexes held Archie’s birthday bash a little early. “For all of you who came to celebrate with us at his party last weekend, thank you for making his birthday so incredibly special,” Meghan, who demoed her kids’-party skills on her Netflix show With Love, Meghan, wrote. Says a source, “She baked a cake and there was something special for all their guests to take home, too. She’s thoughtful that way.”
