Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are going into the new year with a new name for their charitable foundation.

The Archewell Foundation, the organization run by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will now be known as Archewell Philanthropies.

“After five beautiful years, the Archewell Foundation is becoming Archewell Philanthropies,” read a message on their new website, ArchewellPhilanthropies.org. “This charitable entity allows the couple and their children to expand upon their global philanthropic endeavors as a family.”

Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, share son Prince Archie, 6, and daughter Princess Lilibet, 4.

According to People, the organization said in an announcement, “This next chapter allows Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, to broaden their global philanthropic efforts as a family, with meaningful reach and maximum impact, grounded in the same values, partnerships, and their commitment to show up and do good.”

Accompanying the name change was a holiday video featuring the Spare author and the former Suits actress, and the work they’ve done throughout the year.

In the video, Archie and Lilbet made a rare appearance. The couple’s two children can be seen pushing a trolley of food items alongside their parents during a community event ahead of Thanksgiving.

“On behalf of the Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and Archewell, we wish you a very happy holiday season and a joyful new year,” a message on their website read.

Archewell Philanthropies, which was founded in October 2020, was first registered by Meghan and Harry as Sussex Royal The Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex (or referred to as Sussex Royal Foundation).

But because the pair stepped back from their senior royal duties in 2020, they could not brand the foundation using their Sussex title. They instead chose Archewell, which is a nod to their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
