Matt LeBlanc’s Life In Hiding

He was once one of Hollywood’s most recognizable stars, playing the charming Joey Tribbiani on the long-running sitcom Friends. These days, however, Matt LeBlanc has largely stepped away from acting, reportedly spending his time on an exotic car business he’s invested in. “He rarely socializes,” an insider tells Star. “He’s become a major homebody.” (He shares a 20-year-old daughter with ex-wife Melissa McKnight.) He’s not even tight with his old castmates. As Lisa Kudrow recently revealed, despite their onscreen chemistry, the sextet — including Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer and the late Matthew Perry — got together just once between the series finale and their 2021 reunion on HBO. “People ask him out to dinner parties, events and so on, but he politely declines for the most part,” says the insider. “The Hollywood fame game is not his bag these days.” (A rep says Star’s story is “not true.”)

To be fair, the 57-year-old, who had several post-Friends TV series, doesn’t need to hustle — he’s worth an estimated $85 million! “He’s got a ‘been there, done that’ attitude,” says the source. “He’s already been wildly successful.”
